Weight Loss Injectables

Currently there is no service commissioned locally to allow for prescribing of medications for weight loss such as Ozempic or Mounjaro. These medications are known as GLP1s. The ICB who commission services locally have asked that we direct patients to the following website where any changes/ new services will be updated . Our GPs are not currently permitted to prescribe these medications for weight loss, though some patients with diabetes will be prescribed them by the practice in relation to diabetes management.
